Like an iceberg in the outback, 2/3 of it is underground. Also called Uluru. In Teddy's Corner - Boxing had the day off but they still did a Teddy. Pat O' Brien substituted for Marv Albert as Teddy's punching bag. He had much better form than Marv and when it got serious, he took off his glasses. Costas quip- During the opening tease, while showing Michael Johnson, E=MJ squared. Heavy heart - Nigerian hurdler, Glory Aloze's fianceé was killed in an accident just prior to the Games. She will compete then go home and bury him. Dream match - Russia's Aleksandr Karelin, Greco Roman Wrestler undefeated since 1987 and Cuban Boxer Alexis Rubalcaban's incredible punching power. Spirit of the Games Award - Kenneth Muhendi, Kenya's 1st Mountain Biker. He is relatively new to the sport, admits to fearing some of its dangers. He competes in tribute to his late cousin James Muhendi. Muhendi was supposed to be Kenya's 1st Mountain Biker but wa murdered shortly before going to the Atlanta Games. Channel surfing - PAX - World Magic Awards - Host Jonathan Frakes said, "You won't see any long boring acceptance speeches here." Instead, the winners performed their prestidigitation. He just runs backwards - South African Hurdler Llewellyn Herbert faces the wrong way while psyching himself up for the race. Ugly American Award - Hurdler James Carter taunted his opponents as he crossed the finish line in a semifinal. He said he was just showing his confidence. You can see multiple scars from the different injuries/surgeries that he has had.
