Barry Corbin (Northern Exposure) plays a sergeant who tries to get men to re-enlist. Among them a male nurse who remains non-commissioned because of his sex and Klinger who is on the rebound again.

Former Tarzan Denny Miller plays a MP sent by a Marine Colonel to fetch Hawkeye. Hawkeye has been trying to get a wounded Marine sent home early before his mother is deported. Meanwhile, temporary CO Charles turns the camp into his own private country club.
"Blood Brothers"
Patrick Swayze is a wounded soldier dedicated to his buddy, who is diagnosed with leukemia. Mulcahy frets over the visit of a famous Cardinal (not Stan Musial).

Gwen Verdon plays a former stripper who is part of a USO troop who stops by to visit one of their own (Gail Edwards).
Actress/songwriter Amanda McBroom opens Charles eyes to the virtues of the "lower classes".
"The Tooth Shall Set You Free"
Lawrence Fishburne guests as a wounded engineer from a unit that seems to have alot of black wounded. Meanwhile, Charles suffers from a toothache.
"Promotion Commotion"
Former NFL lineman John Matusak plays a hulking corporal who threatens to rearrange Charles face if he doesn't get promoted.
