"Just once, I want to do something right."
---James Dean REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE

I was surprised that I actually liked this movie. It's not really well made, full of cliches, typical teenage mentality fare. Kirsten Dunst is getting older and losing some of her charm. I'm afraid that she may turn into another one of those endless stream of bimbos that are being paraded out there. Even though it is very athletic and difficult, many people give cheerleading the same respect as say, synchronized swimming, something else which demands extreme athleticism and endurance while smiling. The movie addresses that very well. Eliza Dushku as Missy stood out among the actors as well as the guy who played her brother Cliff. The musical group Blaque, playing members of a rival cheerleading squad were also very good. The cheerleading finals competition was marvelous.

The farts and barfing along with some of the other gags were placed well and not overdone to turn the film into slapstick.

All in all an enjoyable diversion. B+

Rated PG-13 for language and sexual innuendo.
